Warren W. Brandt, born in Lansing, Michigan, received his bachelor’s in Chemistry from Michigan State University in 1944. He went on to pursue a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Illinois. He came to Virginia Tech from Kansas State University in 1963. He served as Vice President and Dean of the Graduate School from 1963-1965. Dr. Brandt was then promoted to Vice President of Academic Affairs in 1966.
